Book of Ezekiel (Study 7)

Isaiah highlights God’s salvation (grace) while Jeremiah highlights God’s judgment (sin). Ezekiel highlights God’s glory. He emphasizes that God’s salvation and judgment are both expressions of God’s glory. By stressing the terror of God’s holiness and the horror of human sinfulness he is stressing the glory of God’s grace in salvation. Without a glimpse of this reality concerning God and sin, we cannot really appreciate the horror and glory of the cross of Christ. The message then is designed to give a deep sense of wellbeing in Christ in times when there seems to be no hope except in God. This course is an exposition of the book of Ezekiel as a coherent prophecy. It focuses on helping us know God in a way that is unique to this neglected book of the Old Testament.
