What goes on in Sunday School?

sunday school page

SUNDAY SCHOOL is NOT a ministry solely for children. Looking at the BIG Picture, it is indeed a Ministry where parents partner with teachers for this BIG task to build a strong spiritual foundation in the lives of the children.

Setting the spiritual foundation blocks at an early age is critical to prepare the children to grow into teenagers and adults who love Jesus and always wanting to serve the Lord.

Our Sunday School (SS) classes are held concurrently with our two main worship services at 8.45am and 11.15am. On the first Sundays of each month and Special Events Sundays, the children join in the Main Worship at the Main Hall as an integral part of the BIG FBC Family before they disperse to their class activities.

On other Sundays, the children gather in Room B101 for a Kids Praise and Worship followed by a Bible Lesson in Large Group which includes Bible story videos and fun facts before they review the day’s lesson in their individual classes.

SS Curriculum

SS lessons are presented in creative ways to the class. They are designed to help the children understand that the Bible is not just a collection of stories but One central-themed story of God’s love and redemption. Craft activities and games are used to reinforce the main point of the Bible lesson every week.

Building Friendship

building friendship

Each SS class acts as a hub for social interaction for the children as they learn about God and forge friendships with one another. Here, the children also learn to worship and pray together amidst sharing memorable fun times with one another.

This annual event provides an effective platform for teachers and parents to touch base and discuss the children’s progress. Working in tandem, parents and teachers can more effectively propel the children to grow spiritually and strengthen their character development.
