17:48 Please be seated.
18:02 Good morning once again to those who came in after the call to
18:08 worship. Now we'd like to welcome newcomers. I know that when you are amongst
18:15 strangers, it's rather uh trepidating, but
18:22 and it makes it even worse if the one next to you doesn't even wish you good morning. So, if there are any new comers
18:30 among us, could I have a show of hands, please? [Music]

19:38 expect. [Music]
20:08 Having calmed yourself down, let's bow our heads and go to the Lord in prayer.
20:19 Dear Lord Jesus, we approach you with grace in our hearts and sacrifice of
20:25 praise for you having done your work as a savior and now upon your throne as king.
20:35 You are truly and properly God, a great one, great in power, wisdom, justice, truth,
20:43 mercy, and grace. Greatness is to be ascribed to you and worship given to you
20:50 because of your greatness and a great king over all gods.
20:57 You are a maker of us as creatures of our souls and bodies.
21:02 We have our natural being from you. We are your workmanship created in you and
21:09 by you and therefore you must be woripped by us.
21:15 We intercede for all residents of our nation. We pray for strong economic
21:21 revival, strong marriages, godly parenting, and for honors and
21:27 capable leaders. We need your wisdom and blessing on Malaysia.
21:33 Let the love of patriotism rise in every citizen. Bless our land with honorable
21:39 endeavor, soundbearing and pure manners which is totally lacking.
21:45 Save us from violence and discord and confusion, from pride, arrogance and
21:52 every form of evil way. We are certain that you who began a
21:58 good work in the hoak ministry will continue your work to draw many more
22:03 unbelievers. We pray for your love will overflow more and more and you will keep on attracting
22:11 new unbelievers who will eventually get to know you as their savior.
22:17 We pray for FBC that we will live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of
22:24 you and everyone humbles himself under your mighty hands and dwell together in
22:30 the unity of the faith we have in you. When we get distracted by waves of
22:37 uncertainty, disturbed by storms of judgment or merely start drifting through the
22:44 doldrums of our lives, we can rely on your eron in word as a reliable map.
22:52 Your will and promise replaces our fear with hope and you are truly worthy of
22:58 exaltation. We pray with all our heart that this adventure you will take us through this
23:05 year will result in countless blessing in the life of every brother and sister
23:12 sealed here today and bear fruit in the present age and this age to come.
23:21 And you, Lord, went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogue, and
23:26 preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all
23:32 manner of disease among the people. We ask therefore you heal Tinachi,
23:39 Yapang, Chun, Tony Park, Yapsi Chin, and Pastor Joseph. if it is according to
23:45 your will. Comfort them and uplift them from depression.
23:52 The world is plagued with evil like terrorism, dishonest politicians,
23:57 violence and many more that makes our surrounding very disturbing with the loss of lives. We cry out to you for
24:05 peace and your love to be on earth so that all these evils will be cast away.
24:12 Brother Robert Lee's sister who passed away recently in Cluang. We believe she
24:18 is now in the comforts of your arms. May your hands be on the family during
24:24 this difficult time. We bless you Lord and give thanks to you for inviting us
24:30 into your kingdom. Amen.
24:39 [Music]
24:48 We come to a time of offering. Can I have the uh ushers out here in front, please?
24:54 Just meditating a bit on what the offering means. In Mark chapter 14, we read of two people um I want us to
25:02 meditate on this morning. One of them was a um lady who attended to Jesus
25:10 uh came behind and she had a alablaster flask of the most expensive perfume.
25:19 She broke that and she poured it over his head and he called this an anointing
25:24 before uh his uh impending death.
25:30 It was expensive. It was an act of worship. She didn't have to do that. The other part of
25:37 chapter 14, Mark tells of someone who's been with Jesus for 3 years, walking
25:42 where he walked, serving where he served, living where he lived. Instead,
25:49 he sold Jesus for 300 330 dinarius. If
25:54 you compare the woman worshiped the Lord and spent 300 narras which is a year's
26:00 wage of his worker compared to the slavery of Judas who sold his master for
26:08 30 pieces of silver which is equivalent to the lowest price of a lowest slave.
26:15 How you deal with your money describes how you deal with worship and what you
26:20 think of our Lord Jesus Christ. If I bring the two figures together,
26:25 she found Jesus beautiful. He found Jesus useful.
26:32 This morning, as we put our hands into our wallets, which one will it be? What will it
26:38 reflect? Let's pray. Lord, we ask this morning as
26:44 the offering is being passed along that we, your people, will find you beautiful.
26:51 And we our offering will reflect the fact that you are beautiful and not just useful. We ask this for Jesus' sake.
26:58 Amen. The red bags are for the regular offering where we sustain the activities of the church. The blue bags are the uh
27:07 mission offering where we use that to um send overseas to support missionaries
27:13 and to um further our endeavors especially in the land of Sabah which
27:18 we're going to have some sharing on uh afterwards. So um baby dedication is on March 22nd.
27:26 Those of you who have youngans young ones who who need to be uh dedicated, please uh contact the church office next
27:33 week. Don't come late. You come late, no service. All right,
27:39 only one service next week, Chinese New Year, because most of you will be away battling the traffic jams, being utterly
27:45 miserable. For those of us left in KL, we enjoy the
27:51 first service. All right. All right. Uh just to remind you gamma series uh Gospel of Mark will be winding
27:59 now chapter 15 March 4th and then March 11 chapter 16 and Jesus is resurrected
28:05 and we move on to the next one. All right. So uh just remind you to come uh beta course will also have the last two
28:12 on March 4th and March 11. Then we take a break um after which we will actually
28:18 have let me forward this to Alpha. So, those of you who've got
28:24 friends, uh, non-Christian friends or or even church members have never been to Alpha, this is a fantastic course where,
28:31 this is the the the I think the seventh or the eighth one, seventh one that's coming. So, please bring friends, uh,
28:37 get them ready to come. Uh, just a couple of more announcements. Um, these ladies, I flash them every week to
28:44 remind the ladies. If you got people to pray for you, just look for them out among the congregation. Uh, and they are
28:50 lady counselors. they're ever willing to to walk with you in your faith uh and to pray with you.
28:58 Uh Chinese New Year, uh we only got two weeks to advertise this. So those of you are thinking of break buying a table or
29:05 whatever, please do so today. All right? Cuz next week most of you won't be around. So we'll have a gathering on the
29:11 28th of the uh it starts at at 5:00 p.m. Sorry, and that is wrong. The dinner
29:17 starts at If you just want to eat, you come at 7:00. All right. At 5:30, we're
29:22 going to have a show. Uh Joanne will be playing the uh the the violin, and there'll be a Chinese choir. So, that
29:28 all starts at 5:00 pm. It's only $30. So, and we're also inviting the uh folk from the Morning Glory home, from the
29:35 HIV uh uh home as well, and our children. So, some of you, please be generous enough to buy a table. It's
29:41 only 300 ringgit for a table. So, come along. Uh and some of you want to buy
29:46 for yourselves, your guests. This is a great opportunity to bring friends into the midst of the church so that we could
29:52 get to know them, connect them, and maybe perhaps bring them to Alpha one day. Tonight, uh today we're going to
29:59 have uh uh someone from Sabah share with us. We've been talking so much about Sabah and praying and contributing to
30:06 Sabah. So this morning with lady whom we've often talked about but not seen often, uh is actually called Roomba and
30:14 she comes nice name, right? Roomba gives a bit of a jive to it. So let's welcome
30:19 Roomba who's come all the way from Sabah to to share with us about Sabah missions.
30:26 And after that uh Johnny will come up and share with us about the finances of Saba mission. Good day.
30:40 Yeah. Good morning. Yeah. Good morning to pastor and leaders and church members. Yeah, thank you uh thank you
30:48 again for uh to uh bring an update of uh the development of the uh Sabah
30:53 preschool. Uh I'm Roomba and uh I've brought a friend along a colleague who
30:58 just joined me uh missionary also from Sibkl um Mr. Cocktako. Yeah, he's here
31:06 together also with me. Yeah. So he has just joined uh joined the ministry uh in January this year. Yeah. Um like what we
31:14 sang about it's really all about Jesus. Uh what is happening in Sabah and this
31:20 preschool work is really all about Jesus. Yeah. And uh I want to thank the
31:25 church for the support of this 12 kindergartens. So and I believe that uh
31:30 what we are doing in a little way it is continuing uh the like the promises of
31:36 Psalms 145. Yeah. Like we see here that one generation will commend your works
31:41 to another and they will continually tell of his mighty acts. Yeah. So let me
31:47 start with uh am I on the right? How do I do this?
31:55 All
32:02 right. This the red one. Okay. Yeah. So, this is uh basically I've put in the
32:08 dots, the red dots to show where the 12 kindergartens are that is being supported by uh uh first baptist. Here
32:15 we have 12 kindergartens. Two up north, four down south and we have the rest in the middle. Yes. In the interior of
32:21 Rena. And uh these are the status of the uh 12 preschools uh the names of the
32:28 preschools, the different villages and when it started and I've included the
32:33 status so that uh you all can understand and continue to pray for the work. So you've noticed I've highlighted two blue
32:40 uh kindergartens. One is at Manka and uh this is not registered is because the uh
32:47 the government couldn't send in their worker or the staff to go and look at the kindergarten before they register.
32:53 So you'll see the pictures later why uh because of the journey. Yeah, it's a difficult journey. So that's why till
32:59 today we are still not registered and we are still working at it to get it registered. Another one it's uh at UNOP
33:06 is up at Pas area and because the kindergarten uses the pastor's house. So
33:11 the uh uh the officer who came by and was not happy with that and uh we can
33:17 see how God has actually moved the people and now the we will see later that they are planning to build uh
33:24 kindergarten. Yes. Uh so um
33:29 with with the onset of uh this uh preschool uh God has guided us with uh
33:34 four very clear strategies and one of the strategy is that uh the kindergarten
33:40 it's uh uh belongs to the people uh ownership. Yeah. We want them to know
33:45 that the kindergarten is uh the church belongs to the the people in the village
33:51 and uh we are there to walk with them uh so that the kindergarten will grow. Yeah. other will grow and will stay. So
33:57 this is one kindergarten is at Nasan Baru. Uh this building is uh is the church building. They've used it for
34:04 ministry and uh for preschool uh for Sunday school. So the kindergarten is at the at at the ground floor and uh
34:11 there's two pictures here. I've put in the the picture above is a teacher. The earlier teacher she was with the
34:17 kindergarten and she had to stop because uh she uh they couldn't afford uh to keep her as a kindergarten teacher. she
34:24 needed to move to the bigger bigger town to earn for the family. So, uh the lower
34:29 picture is the new teacher. She's called Joanika and she started as a kindergarten teacher there. And uh this
34:36 kindergarten um it's uh the number is small. Yeah, it has been small for the
34:42 last two years. And uh I have included the fourth picture to show you that our
34:47 challenge is also to compete with the government preschool. They call it the prascola karajaan. Uh so if there is a
34:54 prascola karajan in the village uh we the problem is some of the parents their
34:60 mindset they still prefer the the government uh prascola and also
35:06 sometimes they get uh threatened by uh the uh uh the teachers at the government preschool. They insist that uh the
35:12 children must go to the uh government uh preschool. Yeah. So this is about Nasanbaru.
35:19 Uh this is uh kindergarten at Takotan. Uh really I'm a at uh what God uh has
35:26 done for this kindergarten. Uh actually a team of uh of you who went to visit this kindergarten of the first time in
35:32 Dorne. Uh this kindergarten is actually at the back of a community hall. It's a
35:38 small narrow kindergarten. So the picture if you see it's the the classroom very narrow and as the back of
35:45 it and u the number of children has been small. Uh even for me if I look at the
35:51 situation I would not send my child there because it's so narrow and so humid. Uh but it's so wonderful that uh
35:57 what God did recently uh somebody donated building materials to the
36:02 kindergarten and uh the little material has a kind of double. It's just like the
36:08 word of God, you know, with the the bread and the the fish, you know. I really feel the how the people has come
36:13 together and they build it. So now the kindergarten is so much bigger. Uh it's is connected to the the uh community
36:20 hall and now you look at the number of children. Uh there's the teacher with uh the the number of children there at the
36:26 kindergarten at Takutan. Okay, this is Togobla.
36:32 uh Tobla I think some of you have experienced like Vincent and uh you know and uh Dorin and the team you you've
36:37 seen uh they've seen to it started with a small very small uh women's ministry
36:44 house uh uh so like I said our first strategy is um to uh uh to ensure that
36:51 uh they know it is their ownership so they look for a place so this is their place they started with and then uh they
36:57 were praying for a Duke kindergarten so they they had the faith to uh to start a
37:03 new kindergarten and uh so the project started and um first Baptist actually
37:10 donated 20,000 to the building but uh it was struggling. Yeah, they now complete
37:15 it. It was struggling but it was wonderful how how God worked and uh now we see the the end product is so
37:22 beautiful. It's one of the I think it's the the the most prominent building that is in the village. Yeah. And we thank
37:28 God how the uh the Lord opened doors and how the Snipon came in to paint the building and now they are so proud of
37:35 that building, you know, with the with the flag flying and the fans, you know. So that's that's the picture of the kindergarten inside the kindergarten.
37:43 Yeah. Okay. Tin uh is the one that Mark and uh two
37:49 others, Pastor Mark went to others to to uh they stayed there for six days. I purposely have the first two pictures
37:55 up. Uh the first picture on the on the right is I went there visited twice. Uh
38:01 whenever I go there it you know it's only the pas uh the the not the pastor sorry the the leader uh the youth leader
38:09 will be there and the teacher will meet me. That's about two three people who will meet me and know not many children
38:14 will come along. Uh it's it's a sad state when I go there. Uh I didn't show a picture of the pastor's house. You
38:21 know it's like a a a shed. I think it's going to break down already. Mark would
38:26 know. Yeah. So, uh and and I thank God when uh we we discussed the my last time
38:33 I came here and I just discussed with the leadership and uh talked to Dorene. I said uh is it possible to have a
38:40 pastor at uh Tinam so that the uh kindergarten work can progress. And I
38:45 thank God for your support. There is a pastor now there. And uh you look at the next picture that I have it up there.
38:52 This time I went there was so many children you know it's so exciting to go there and see the children they welcome
38:58 me and wow it is you can see the difference you can really see the difference that's happening in the
39:03 church there yeah so and now they have uh we have worked at a new building at
39:08 the back of this church if you notice the structure yeah I think Mark they help help with part of it building it
39:15 and uh we thank God yeah we thank God for for the progress of this kindergarten
39:20 yeah Okay, this is the one that I highlighted the Manapo. I said the government couldn't go in there to
39:26 register the kindergarten is because we have to we have to cross a river. They had a hanging bridge that collapsed uh
39:34 two two years ago, two three years ago. Uh and uh so now the only access to that
39:40 to the village is you know using the san. Yeah, using the san. So we have to
39:45 take the the the boat the the the small boat across the river and then not just
39:50 across we have to walk quite a distance. So that's why the government has not sent their people in to take a look at
39:56 the kindergarten to register it. So uh after much appeal they have agreed that
40:02 uh and given me the form so that I could go in and uh get the data for them so they could register the preschool. I
40:08 thank God for that. Yeah. So the building on the right is the preschool using the pastor's house and that
40:13 teacher I had particularly put her photograph up so you could pray for her because they couldn't they don't have a
40:19 teacher from the village. We wanted ownership uh within the the village but so that they could have their own
40:25 teacher but there was no teacher there with uh SPM that qualify to be a kindergarten
40:31 teacher. So I had to bring in a teacher from another village. So Veltika is from Kudat. She's from up north and she was
40:38 willing. Yeah. She was willing to go to this village and be uh the kindergarten
40:43 teacher there and to help the villages. So do pray for her, uphold her. Yeah.
40:49 Okay. Uh is another village in the interior of Rana and uh they're using
40:55 the uh uh government community hall. It's a small hall and the children gathered there uh uh every day for the
41:02 kindergarten and uh now they are struggling with their church building. So we have shelf the possibility of uh
41:09 extending uh the kindergarten at Wan. Okay. Uh Solup uh this is um a
41:18 kindergarten that at the Lundaya area the Lundaya is down south and we started
41:24 uh using the kindergarten that that building you know at we see the building is at the back a small room a small
41:31 space uh for the for the kindergarten. So it was a struggle initially was real struggle to have the kindergarten and I
41:38 thank God uh uh now the people has come together and they have put up the building and with whatever funds we had
41:45 we we the building is completed and uh Jalina again I put up a photograph
41:50 because Jalina is from another village she's a murut and uh she has decided and agreed to come in to be a teacher here
41:56 at uh Solomop okay uh this is another one interesting
42:02 one at Kaban uh initially we we couldn't find a place to to start the kindergarten. We
42:08 couldn't find a place. So after much discussion they decided to use the that orange building which belongs to the
42:14 village is the community hall uh where the people use it for weddings and for other kind of occasion. Uh so we started
42:21 also a difficult struggle and uh after a while I I thank God that uh they started
42:27 building another building. If you see next to the orange building, that is the building and is now done up painted
42:33 green and uh beautifully decorated by the uh teacher. Yeah. So it's wonderful
42:38 h you see and the children in the uniform. So it's wonderful to see the progress of the kindergarten. Yeah. It's
42:44 so wonderful. Hey up in Pithas area and um we were
42:52 using the pastor's house that is the yellow house. uh we were using the ground floor as the kindergarten and
42:59 because the pastor lives uh above the kindergarten so the government is not
43:04 happy they said no you cannot have somebody living up there uh you know and uh they don't want uh in case they said
43:11 you know there could be fire and all that so we we couldn't we they did did not give us the permit for this
43:17 kindergarten and uh so I thank God that actually we there were there were some
43:22 people who donated some building materials we just wanted to extend the front a little bit for the kindergarten.
43:29 But what happened? The people decided to use those materials and then they whatever they had they gave to the uh to
43:35 the kindergarten. And now they're starting a new structure uh in front of the yellow yellow building. If you
43:41 notice in front of the yellow building as a kindergarten for the three villages that is close by. Yeah. So and uh this
43:49 last uh not yet sorry this is Mapapon. Uh Mapapon is also quite new and uh we
43:55 are using the church. The picture at the bottom is the church. Uh because there's no other place. So we
44:02 decided to use the church to get the kindergarten started. And uh here we have difficulties because of uh a few
44:09 denomination in this village. I do pray that uh God will work in the hearts of
44:15 the uh the people. I thank God that now at the top leadership there is uh coming together helping one another even though
44:21 we are interdenomination but um uh the people are still uh you
44:27 know they're still not ready for that but do pray that uh uh that uh the children from the different denomination
44:33 will also attend the uh Christian kindergarten instead of going to the government or the kamas. Yeah.
44:41 Okay. Uh Katubu uh and Kapulu. We'll see this Katubu and Kapulu. these two
44:46 particular ones uh high up in the um mountain. Yeah. S James and uh Lie they
44:54 came along and it was a challenge to go up there. Yeah. So we started the kindergarten there. The people uh
45:00 request for the kindergarten. It's very poor Murud area. Yes. It's a very poor Murud area. So uh we're using the old uh
45:08 church building. Yeah. Yeah, you see there's two building. You see the old church building and uh with the setup uh
45:14 by uh first baptist uh the children are gathered there and we also have children as old as 10 years old coming to the
45:20 kindergarten to learn to read and write. So you can understand the uh the situation in Sabah you have those even
45:28 uh above 10 and still cannot read and write because they're not attending any school. Yeah. So we allow them to come
45:33 to the kindergarten to learn in the kindergarten. Uh so this is Capulu. The yellow arrow shows the uh village that
45:41 is hidden up in the hill. So it's quite a journey to go there. Uh and we have
45:46 also started a kindergarten using uh the church the the building. Uh so we have
45:51 actually done up the classroom next to the church uh annex. Yeah. And the children are gathered there. We have
45:57 about uh six children right now at uh Capulu. Yeah. Okay. So um the like I mentioned
46:05 there are four strategies. The first is uh ownership. Second is registration of kindergarten and the third is to uh to
46:12 make sure that our teachers uh train uh so that uh they will acquire some skills in teaching and the last is uh
46:19 sustainability. So to sustain the work we have also put in transport. Yeah. To
46:24 put in transport so that children can be sent uh children from nearby village can be sent to the uh kindergartens that
46:30 have been that we have started. So we pay for the fuel for uh the uh van and
46:35 uh lately I believe uh many of you would know that uh FBC uh actually giving to the food for the children. So seven of
46:43 these 12 preschools are given food now. They get to have free food. So now the number has increased. Yeah. Because of
46:49 the free food. Yeah. Yeah. It's
46:55 like that. The poor they need the food first. Yeah. So we thank God for the food. Yeah.
47:01 Yeah. So they don't need to pay for the food. Yeah. So to help with uh the kindergarten uh so we have actually also
47:08 uh had some workshops done with the preschool operators. Yeah. From the uh
47:14 the from the village and we've also uh acknowledged and given token appreciation for preschools that is
47:19 above a year. So that they encourage yeah the local leaders yeah to continue and press on with the work and uh
47:27 towards self sustainability. That is the our last uh strategy. Uh we we recognize
47:34 that uh that this support we cannot continue uh on for five 10 years. So we
47:40 are praying that uh the kindergartens can be sustainable uh after I know we
47:46 hope at least after two years but it's been difficult uh it's honestly it's been difficult. Uh so we have started it
47:53 self sustainable through agriculture and uh there is this uh effort uh by by by
47:59 uh NGO to help and uh they started planting roselle at this Kong uh mangapo
48:05 and they're hoping that uh uh we can connect. So what I mean by connect maybe I should explain the example or at this
48:13 Kong Sarita. Uh they have started this coconut virgin coconut oil and what
48:20 happened is that this particular village they process it they actually have the coconut trees they get the coconut they
48:26 process it and then they bottle the uh the oil and uh this church in Johobaru
48:31 takes about 100 bottles every month. They take the bottles and you know uh they they consume it or they sell it's
48:38 up to them. So the money comes in every month to the village at Kong Sarita. So we're hoping that kind of effort instead
48:45 of just sustaining us with you know uh giving but is is there a way where where
48:50 the the west and the east can connect. So that's where Kongo Manapo they're hoping to do the roselle and uh very
48:57 soon uh we hope that we can bring in the roselle jam uh for you all to try. Yeah.
49:03 And see whether we work from there. Yeah. So that's for Ko Manapo. Okay. our needs and challenges uh like I
49:10 mentioned uh to be self sustainable after 2 to three years uh we are we're
49:15 working at that but we have difficulty so it's a challenge and of course to upgrade our preschool teachers so in 20
49:23 uh 2016 the government wants a minimum qualification of diploma and early
49:29 childhood education so we are in the midst of upgrading our teachers so right now we have uh 27 of them following the
49:37 diplom program with help university and uh 22 with SIDMA college. So uh brother
49:43 is uh has joined the team. So he'll be helping me basically handling the training of the preschool teachers.
49:50 Yeah. Uh why we have a challenge uh with self
49:55 sustainability is because Sabah is the poorest state in the whole of Malaysia.
50:01 So this is the data we can see uh the blue line the green line and the red line it shows the the 10 years the 10
50:08 years you know and the uh the center is zero poverty yeah zero poverty so you
50:14 notice like say example kada after every 10 years you know the blue line goes down to the green line and goes down to
50:20 the red line so it's towards the center meaning poverty has decreased but you look at the Saba situation from the blue
50:27 the green then up again the red so is poorest uh state in uh Malaysia. So we
50:33 are having difficulty for self sustainability uh at least for a while. Uh so this is the progress a quick uh
50:40 look at the progress. I thank God for the for the 90 kindergartens that have started in Sabah. Yeah. And of the 90 uh
50:48 you all are supporting 12. And uh this is the breakdown of the the the uh
50:53 number of years the kindergarten has started. And I thank you uh for the extension that has been approved to
50:60 support the about four kindergartens. Yeah, four kindergartens that have moved
51:05 to the third year and the fourth year and I've appealed for the extension and I thank you for the extension given uh
51:11 for the kindergartens. Yeah. So uh I end with a special thank you to uh members leaders. Yeah. The
51:18 mission department. Thank you pastors and friends for for giving to the work in Sabah and for this partnership for
51:25 the extension of the pir school for the food money and for the pastor pastor Rubina. Yeah. Yeah. And for your prayers
51:32 encouragement. Yeah. Thank you. [Applause] [Music]
51:38 [Applause]
51:45 [Music]
51:51 Can I have the finance on this? Thanks. I just a very quick sharing on the finances of the Saba project and how we
51:58 have used the money that the church has so generously uh contributed.
52:08 Not not this one. The finances
52:17 nice. The force false light.
52:28 Not not this one. Not this one.
52:44 I don't have is it
52:52 while waiting the treasure wants to remind all of you who actually claim money from church which you use first
52:59 please register with the church we're going with the e uh ecommerce So you have to fill up some form that goes to
53:06 the bank. So when we pay you, we don't give you a check anymore. We give you electronically into your account. So
53:11 those who actually claim money, please register. Otherwise, you won't get paid. Thank you. Can we have the Bible
53:18 reading, please? Thank you.
53:25 Good morning, church. Today's readings from Psalm 95.
53:33 Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord. Let us shout aloud to the rock of our
53:39 salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For
53:46 the Lord is a great God and a great king above all gods. In his hand are the
53:52 depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his for
53:57 he made it and his hands form the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship.
54:04 Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he he is our God. And we are the
54:09 people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,
54:15 do not harden your hearts as you did at Maribba, as you did that day at Masa in
54:20 the desert. Where your fathers tested and tried me, though they
54:27 have seen what I did. For 40 years I was angry with that generation. I said they
54:33 are a people whose hearts go astray and they have they have not known my ways.
54:39 So I declared on oath in my anger they shall never enter my rest. This is the
54:45 word of God. May the Lord bless the reading of his word.
54:54 Sorry about it. Technical error. Uh okay you can have the first okay
54:60 basically what you see here is the overall picture what we have received to date is uh 7200 since 2011 thank you for
55:09 the church generosity and this you see the funds dispersed is basically uh
55:14 broken down over the four year period we based on building fund kindergarten the MTS students the pastor and what we have
55:21 in balance is 257,000 that we can continue to use to support the 12 kindergartens and any other
55:28 further projects that uh we see that's going to be beneficial to Sabah.
55:34 Okay, this is the commitment on the to the 10 MTS students. Uh please do tell
55:40 the church that out of the 10 that we have supported, five have already graduated and is now serving in their
55:47 respective churches. But what we are now thinking of is
55:55 uh supporting an an additional five. So they will make it again 10 MTS students
56:00 and also we are we have just spoken to Roomba to try to connect these 10 MTS students so that they can now go back to
56:07 the 12 kindergartens that we are uh supporting. So at least then there is a
56:14 synergy of uh effort. So this is handled by pastor HMI.
56:20 Okay. This is the commitment to the 12 kindergartens. As you can see uh we have completed year 1, year two. Basically
56:28 year three we have given the funds for two kindergartens and we have agreed to continue to support three four five and
56:36 this is the commitment that we will need to give to support the salary of the
56:41 teachers. We actually supporting two teachers. one main one which is for 500
56:47 and secondary one which is a second teacher for 400. So the church commitment is only 900 per month per
56:53 kindergarten for the teachers. Okay, so we have said like I said we
56:59 agreed to support another five new MTS students and that's the commitment per year for the five 22,500
57:07 and this is the funds required at the last slide uh based on what uh the
57:13 church and uh mission board has agreed to support year one in 205 we'll need
57:21 about 138,900 out of which currently we have about 27,000 left which means we can still
57:28 continue the support for the first year. Second year commitment to third and fourth year it averages to about 160,500
57:37 per year which means that that's the the funds that we will need to continue to support this project. So I appeal to the
57:43 church to consider uh continuing supporting this uh ministry. Uh that's
57:49 all for the finances. If there's any questions uh I'll take it after the service. Thank you.
57:56 [Applause] And let us all arise. We continue to
58:02 worship our Lord before the sermon. We continue with this song. Heart of worship,
58:18 king of endless world.
58:25 Kingdom. No one could express
58:32 all you deserve. [Music]
58:40 No one we can. All I have is yours. Every single prayer
58:51 [Music] I'll bring you more than a song
58:58 or song [Music] is not what you have before.
59:05 [Music] You search my se
59:12 through the waves of you. You're walking into my heart.
59:22 I'm coming back to the heart of
59:27 [Music] all about you. It's all about you, Jesus.
59:36 I'm sorry for the things I made.
59:43 Sorry about you. [Music]
59:57 It's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus.
60:05 I'm sorry, Lord, for the things I have.
60:11 It's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus.
60:20 Coming back to the heart of worship.
60:26 I'm sorry about you. Sorry about you, Jesus.
60:34 I'm sorry for the things I have made.
60:41 It's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus.
60:52 [Music]
