HIM – Worth for Him, Fruitful for Him, Growing in Him – Col 1:9-10 First Baptist Church (E) – His Subang Family
If you are of the more matured age there are a whole bunch of fun loving exciting seniors who will want to meet you and have fellowship with you.
We are the KARIS fellowship of the church and let us give you some of our history and past events so that you will be tempted to join us.
Brief History of the Karis Fellowship
In the early 1985 a group of concerned brothers and sisters in Christ lead by brother See Kay Hong formed a fellowship for senior citizens (back then the old folks are left out in the mainstream of church life, largely housebound). They called themselves the Karis fellowship, pledging to encourage each other, reaching out to family and friends. Yuen Hon Chong was the inaugural chairman.
What Karis stand for:
- K kare for each other
- A available for each other
- R reach out to family, friends and neighbours
- I be instructed in HIS word
- S be available to serve
Beyond the Retreats
We visit each other, go places to have food and fellowship. There is nothing like this where we belong to each other and share common interests.
Karis worship meeting is on every Tuesday from 10.00am to 11.30am followed with refreshments. From 12.30pm onwards, there are also various activities such as line dancing, guitar and ukulele lessons.
