Dear worshippers of FBC:
The current escalation of the Covid 19 pandemic is entering a worrying stage hence warrants responsible action by the church FBC has formed a Covid 19 task force to confer and plan for our church’s response to the crisis.
Church Services
From next Sunday onwards for an initial 2 weeks ie 22 March to 29 March the church’s response will enter Stage 2 which is the cessation of all physical on site worship services as well as all children’s ministries and a reversion to on line services for our adults at our church website at www.fbc.com.cmy. The services are pre-recorded and available after 9 am each Sunday and keep on the site for a week. You are all encouraged to worship and sing with us on line and be blessed by the sermon by Elder Arnold Lim for the next few weeks.
Youth Service
The youth service because it’s small in number will continue to meet physically on a limited mode and be live streamed on the web.
Small Groups
The church is making arrangements for Sunday school teachers to interact with the respective classes through social media and on line venues. We encourage all to visit and try out our Life Groups and their contact details have also been made available at the website.
Prayer Hotline
There is a prayer hot line and email for us to get our leaders and pastors to minister to people. Please continue to pray for each other and our nation as we go through this trial together that the adversity will pull us together not tear us apart. That the light of gospel will shine even brighter through the compassion of His people.
Tithing
Please continue to contribute to the work of the kingdom in prayer and giving. The information for tithing is on the website and worshippers can also drop off their tithes at the church office or at the individual life groups. This vitally important for the many missionaries, workers in the field and ministries of the church.
Alpha and Gamma
Our Alpha programs slated to begin on 1st April will still be on as it is a small group of people. Please pray and bring friends and relatives as the need is much greater in times of stress and uncertainty which is when the need for the gospel is most needed. Our Discipleship Gamma program will recommence as usual but via an on line virtual mode with the various grooup participating via the conference app called zoom meeting. Your group leaders will contact you on how to get to this..
Mid Week Devotions
A mid week devotion will be also posted on line to encourage worshippers during this time of social isolation.
Finally the words of Hebrews 10: 24 take new dimensions in this digital age,
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
